Rule the Roost - Homeowners Share Real Life Renovation Photos and Advice

Vancouver, British Columbia (June 7, 2006) — A new website for homeowners called Central Roost (www.centralroost.com) was recently launched by two young women with a passion for home design and do-it-yourself home improvement projects.

The site is a global community where homeowners can inspire and help each other by sharing photos and ideas from their own ‘real’ homes and renovation projects. In addition to photo sharing the site offers discussion forums, a learning center, and home management tools. “From our own home improvement experiences, we found the best help and advice came from other homeowners, particularly those who had similar homes or projects”, says Cher Primeau, Central Roost’s primary developer and co-founder. “We created Central Roost because we could not find any resources that enabled this type of connection and information exchange.”

Members of the site are automatically ‘matched’ to homes and projects that are similar to theirs and can post comments, ask questions or send private messages. Users can also save ideas to their favorites list and email their photo galleries to family and friends. All visitors to the site can browse through hundreds of home, garden and project photos or use the site’s advanced search capabilities to find specific project types and home features.
